Question of the Day:

When someone tells a pregnant woman they are "glowing," do they really just mean their face is getting chubby?

Discuss.

  1. Lol! No, because if you were getting chubby they would say something like "You are really starting to show".. or something along those lines. :)

The glow is a real thing.

  2. I've always heard that it's an actual scientific physical thing. The hormones change something in your physical appearance that makes your skin look better or something super crazy like that. Plus MOST pregnant ladies are really excited and happy. I say most bc a few women (myself included) are SUPER crabby and cranky and downright mean when they're pregnant. :)

  3. I really do think I glow. It's just that my intense pregnancy acne gets in the way...

  4. I've never noticed any "glow" when people are pregnant. They look like they always have except their uterus is protruding.

And yes, I am growing out my pixie but now i'm really diggin' the long in front short in back look. Like Kate Gosselin except without the whole crazy lesbo look and a way better job at blending. I mean, seriously Kate, you think that looks good!

It's been a fun journey growing it out, nevertheless.

  5. I think the glow is the sweat from carrying around the extra poundage. Just one girl's opinion :)

  6. I might agree with the sweat theory. But I always thought I was glowing because when I was pregnant my adult acne disappeared. Hallelujah!

  8. Whenever I tell a pregnant lady they're glowing, I really do mean it. I read that women who are pregnant have a lot more blood and it causes their skin to have a slight "glow". I really do believe it, I've seen many pregnant women who looked extra beautiful because their skin looked so healthy!
