Pre-Easter festivities. Oh, and I'm 25 now.

Thank you so much for your support and kindness on my VBAC post. I was honestly worried about receiving backlash for my honesty. But no, everyone was so sweet and helpful. Not one disparaging comment. It's true -- I have the best readers!

I turned 25 on Saturday. I did. It was a nice day. I woke up early to do my grocery shopping as is customary on Saturday mornings. Then, I came home and we went to Joe's for some free birthday breakfast. Same heavenly waffles from Dill's birthday. Remember?

Yes, please.

After Joe's, I took myself on a 2 1/2 hour shopping spree. Alone. It was awesome. Highly recommended. My mother-in-law also gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure, which I am very excited to use. My toes are so nasty right now.

Once Buckwheat woke up from his nap, we took the kids to see Grammy and Pa (my parents). My dad promptly sent me on a scavenger hunt around the house and at the end, I found an iTunes gift card. So awesome! They also gave us a few yummy-filled Easter baskets and organized an egg hunt for the kids.

Bubby found a GOLDEN EGG that contained a $20 bill. Holla!

My parents have the cutest dog named Biskit. We call her Bisky or sometimes Byoo.

At the conclusion of the egg hunt, my parents, youngest sister Emma and I went to Liberty Market for more free food. I got the margherita pizza and it was 100% delicious. My dad got the Tower Burger and couldn't stop talking about the fact it was the best burger he'd ever eaten. Liberty Market is one of my favorite restaurants so I knew I couldn't let my quarter-century birthday go by without eating there!

When I came home, Dill informed me that Buckwheat had a gift he'd forgotten to give me -- the ability to successfully escape his crib. Oh joy.

Thanks to all those who made my 25th birthday extra-special. You're the best!

  1. Oh my goodness, those waffles look sinful! Happy Belated Birfday!

I would have said something on Facebook but it always seems contrived when people post "happy birthday" on the day of your birthday on facebook so instead, I posted nothing. That's makes SO much more sense.

I like feedback almost as much as I like food.
