Sunday best.

Not mad, just tired.
Church starts at 8:00-in-the-flipping-AM for us. Not the most ideal time, let me tell you. For starters, I am one of those people who loooooooves to sleep in and probably would until 10 o'clock every day if I could. And also, church at this hour directly coincides with Smush's morning nap. Needless to say he is a holy terror on Sundays (fitting behavior for the Sabbath day, I guess). Yesterday, he and Dill tried Nursery out for the first time, even though Smush isn't quite old enough. Church went much better that usual. Something about having fun makes the tired go away (until you fall off a chair and bonk your head).

But the good thing about 8 AM church is that it's over early and you get the rest of the day to relax! Ahhh. I spent the remainder of my Sabbath day making some scrumptious sugar cookies and dinking around on the piano.

Oh! Speaking of which, guess what? Remember how I told you I was going to do something scary and audition for the East Valley Mormon Choir? Well, I got an e-mail last night saying they want me to audition on August 10! So we'll see how that goes!

  2. We are moving to 8am starting next week. Yikes! It works out better for Han's nap and Emily is still young enough to nap at church, so we're good for a while. I liked having the whole day before I had kids. now when we have 8am church Sundays seem to drag on forever!

  5. Ug, 8 AM church would be hard with kids. And it really is a great day when they can go to nursery.

  6. I'm so happy you're auditioning. We're women heavy (not heavy women!) so bring a singin' man to audition too. You'll be first pick, no kidding.
