I put my crafty pants on.

Most of you know by now that I aspire to craftiness like it's my job (and it kind of is, since I'm a girl and we looooove to get our craft on), but I lack the skillz necessary to actually BE crafty. It's OK because I do have other talents, but I'm still working on the crafty thing because, let's face it -- crafting is FUN! Especially when 1) it's an easy craft, 2) someone who happens to have developed fine motor skills is going to hold your hand every step of the way while you make that craft 3) AND you're making the craft at a party with plenty of yummy food to get you through it.

Oh, and 4) the craft does not involve sewing or a whole lot of precision. I run and hide when sewing is involved.

When these four precious stars aligned at the end of June, I decided to take part. See, my new friend and fellow blogger Chrissy (her blog is so cute) threw this little shindig called a "Crafty Pants Party" and we made these:

I KNOW, RIGHT?

I wasn't so sure I could make this look good, but I think it turned out pretty cute, thanks to Chrissy's help. It adds just the right amount of color to my newly-redesigned bedroom. Oh yeah -- I have a new bedroom! More about that adventure later.

If you want to make one of these fancy string art ... thingies, check out Chrissy's tutorial. She makes it look so easy (but don't worry -- it IS easy. You know it has to be easy if I can pull it off).

I like feedback almost as much as I like food.
