We can finally go outside without being scorched.

(Purple shirt AND shoes? Call me crazy, but I happen to think you can never have too much purple in your life.)

Ah, it's a glorious day in Arizona when you open your front door and you aren't suddenly knocked flat on your back by a wall of heat. It's cooling down! Praise be!

This is my most favorite time of year. General Conference, Bubby's birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, our anniversary and New Year's. No shortage of family gatherings, choir concerts, baked goods and all-out fun around here! Plus, I think the winter season is Arizona's best-kept secret. Highs in the low to mid-70's from October to April? I'll take it. The searing heat is such a small price to pay, don't you think?

As for fashion, I love to layer and it's kind of impossible during the summer months here. Unless you enjoy having heat stroke. Then be my guest. I'm looking forward to busting out my cardigans and tights! Yippee!

One last thing: remember how last week, I said I was craft-challenged? Well, after that pathetic admission, I was determined to prove I can make cute stuff, too. So, in a feverish haste, I whipped up a delightful tulle wreath for Halloween. Turns out it was easy enough that even I could handle it with minimal elevation in blood pressure. I'm going to teach you how tomorrow! Be there (here) or be square.

Question of the Day: What's your favorite thing about fall?
