GIVEAWAY CLOSED! Winner is TRICIA! CONGRATS and thanks for playing!
When I was newly pregnant with Bubby, I decided to keep a pregnancy journal to remember everything about carrying Bubby in my womb for nine long months (which is hilarious because I now want to forget about 90 percent of it thanks to all the vomiting, crotch pain and fatigue). And I didn't want this precious document to consist merely of black words on white pages -- I wanted it to be super-cute and scrapbooky!!! However, as you know, I am NOT crafty and most of my previously-made scrapbook pages look like crapola. So I abandoned that idea ...
... UNTIL!!! I was introduced into the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking (sometimes known as "digi-scrapping").
Because, you see, I may be extremely craft-challenged, meaning my cutting, pasting and Bedazzling skillz are all severely lacking, but I am a ROCK STAR when it comes to creating works of art on the computer. When scrapbooking, I always know exactly what I want the pages to look like, but I have trouble executing the physical design. Digital scrapbooking allows me to maneuver pictures, elements and text as much as I want without ever lifting a glue stick! It's like it was made for me.
So, in my pregnancy-induced haze, I downloaded a bunch of digi-scrapping kits and spent hours attempting to cutely immortalize every week of Bubby's gestation. Sadly, I failed to realize that I would have to print these pages on expensive 12 x 17 cardstock in order to cut them down to fit into my 12 x 12 albums! Waaah. When would I ever have the money or the desire to do that? Never. So I abandoned that project with tons of regret. What a waste of time!
A few weeks ago, I was introduced to My Memories Suite, a digital scrapbooking program from My Memories that allows you to create custom bound albums, DVD albums and Web-based interactive albums for any occasion. WHAT. Where was this software six years ago?! It's simple to use and the suite comes with tons of great backgrounds and elements. If you are looking for more, you can download digi-scrap kits from the My Memories store which also has an entire "Free Kits" section. So that's pretty awesome.
In just about a half hour, I managed to create a cover and five pages for a 2012 calendar album. Here's a sampling of my work:
Fun, right? And when I'm ready to print it, all I have to do is click on the Share Album menu where I can send my digital pages to MyMemories.com to be printed and bound into a snazzy album! Nice.
So ... you wanna win a copy of the latest version of My Memories Suite? (valued at $40)
